Pontiac's Firebird Trans Am grew out of the Sports Car Club of America's Trans-American sedan racing series. Since Pontiac's 303 ci tunnel-port V8 was a race-only mill, management decided to use the existing 400 ci V8 for production Trans Ams, giving them a performance advantage during the 1970's. By the time the 4th generation Trans Am appeared in 1993 Pontiac had developed the car's braking and handling to be as strong as its acceleration. This cool 1994 Trans Am Convertible is a well-rounded performer and a lot of car for the money. Nestled beneath the sculpted hood is the smooth 350 ci LT1 V8 that's capable of propelling this crimson cruiser to 150 mph. Additional features include power rack and pinion steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes, power windows, power door locks, power convertible top, air conditioning, 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, cruise control, tilt steering column, full instrumentation, AM/FM/Cassette stereo system, steering wheel audio controls, fog lights, and 245/50ZR16 tires wrapped around chromed alloy wheels. Here's a fun fact: Including the eight '69's, the two 1989's, and the 928 1994's, this is one of the first 1000 Trans Am convertibles produced!
