This tap set originally was made by an early snap-on tools company. The snap on tools company was created in the late 20s and produced the first socket and ratchets to be used by mechanics and other customers. This tap set would have likely been sold out of one of the many snap on dealers trucks that was a revolutionary idea at the time, because the tools came to you rather than you going to the tools.
