Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 22nd year in the classic and muscle car business. Anyone who is interested in owning a Tri-Five (1955-1957) Chevrolet should have no problem finding one because there are still thousands of these classics on the road today. You could search the world over, however, and never find an example as nice as this 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Hardtop (1037D). Starting with a straight, rust-free example, I spoke with the guy that found this car. He bought it from the 2nd owner who bought it in 1968 with 3000 miles on it. He drove it until 1983 where it was stored inside until my friend got it in 2002 with 14000 actual mileage. He sold it to another fried and customer of ours who had Hatfield Restorations of Canton, TX do the restoration. They applied the beautiful and correct Coral and Shadow Grey (627) paint. Inside, the correct Grey Straw Pattern Cloth and Coral Vinyl (532) upholstery compliment the exterior colors perfectly. A Vintage Air A/C system will keep you comfortable as you listen to the original Wonderbar radio. The stellar Art Morrison chassis features a Sport IFS with a 1 1/8" sway bar and power rack and pinion steering up front and a triangulated 4-bar suspension out back. Motivation for this masterpiece is supplied by a GM crate Ramjet 350 sporting a Vintage Air Front Runner system, beautiful headers, power steering, and a Performance Rod & Custom aluminum crossflow radiator with dual 13" electric fans. Horsepower is routed through a Phoenix 700R4 AOD transmission with a 20" external cooler, then back to a Ford 9" rear end with 3.50 gears. When the light turns red, a Wilwood 4-wheel disc brake system with 11" rotors provides superior stopping power. Finally, a set of Michelin Diamondback Classics (205/75R15) with extra-wide whitewalls wrapped around 15x5 steel wheels give her the perfect stance. This car was so nice BEFORE the restoration that the restorer tried to talk the customer out of the project! Yet another top-shelf gem from The Texas Hill Country's premier source for classics and muscle cars. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options. The guy that found it said the car was still in very nice condition even the upholstery was nice except when you sat on it dust would come from the inside cushions. They did not have to patch any of this car. When you start with a great car you end up with an excellent example as seen here. Thanks again for viewing our advertisements.
