Beautifully Restored 1956 Mustang Model 4 Special, Texas Title

We've sold plenty of Mustangs over the years, but only a few of the two-wheeled variety. When John Gladden of Gladden Products Corporation realized that he needed to find new postwar markets for his manufacturing business, he started the Mustang Motorcycle Corporation in 1946. Gladden wanted to produce a lightweight and inexpensive bike for commuting that was larger than a scooter but easier to handle than a full size motorcycle. These great-looking, mean-sounding bikes have become collector favorites and enjoy a loyal following. Our beautiful 1956 Mustang Model 4 Special is a nice example of one of the company's more desirable models. According to the factory records and The Mustang Motorcycle Club of America, this jewel still has its original engine (S50Y50) and frame (458119), was built in January of 1956, and was sold to the Milne Bros. of Pasadena, California. Also listed are the original color (red) and the optional high compression head, big cam, front brake, and upswept exhaust pipe. I'm just guessing now, but I would think that the front brake would be a popular choice! Currently running a Mikuni carburetor, the 19.4 cubic inch, 10.5 hp engine sounds strong and healthy. In a collection or under a new pilot, this handsome thoroughbred is ready for another 64 years.
