1972 Harley Davidson Aermacchi Sprint 350
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 21st year in the classic and muscle car business. Here's an interesting bike that some Harley-Davidson fans might not be aware of. This 1972 Harley-Davidson Sprint is the product of a partnership between H-D and Aeronautico Macchi (shortened to Aermacchi), an Italian aeronautical company that had been building aircraft since 1917. Post-war Europe was in desperate need of fuel efficient transportation, so Aermacchi began to produce small motorcycles and engines. By 1960, H-D was feeling the pressure of competition from the (mostly Japanese) imports and decided to purchase a 50% stake in Aermacchi. This beautifully restored bike features a 344cc air-cooled OHV horizontal single and a 4-speed transmission. The paint, seat, hardware, and brightwork are all very nice, and we have the original 1 into 2 exhaust that we will be installing soon. This is a very nice example from an interesting period of Harley-Davidson's storied history. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
