One of the hottest segments recently in the classic truck market has been the 1973-1987 Chevy/GMC "square bodies". Very popular at the time and blessed with a long production run, there are still clean examples available for reasonable prices. Our 1986 Chevrolet Silverado is a good example of a nice truck with some tasteful upgrades. Factory features and options include the Silverado equipment (YE9), power steering (N41), power front disc brakes (J50), air conditioning (C60), automatic transmission (MX1), Comfortilt steering wheel (N33), cruise control (K34), auxiliary fuel tank (NL2), HD rear springs (G50), front stabilizer bar (F59), 2.73 rear axle (GU2), and cargo area lamp (UF2). The original 305 V8 has been swapped for a fresh 350 that's been fortified with a Holley carburetor, an aluminum intake manifold, ceramic coated headers, and HEI. Additional goodies include a billet aluminum grille, trim, and pedals, a bedliner, toolbox, custom tail lights, and a newer stereo. This truck runs and drives beautifully, but as a driver it does have a few chips and blemishes.
