The Mercedes-Benz SL class automobiles have been the primary grand touring cars of the German manufacturer for an almost unbelievable 65 years now. These cars gradually evolved from the race-bred 300 SL "Gullwings' (currently seven-figure museum pieces!) into the more familiar luxury biased GT cars that came to represent the pinnacle of status during the 1970's and beyond. Our remarkably well preserved 1974 Mercedes-Benz 450 SL has been owned and driven by a pilot for the last 31 years, usually indicating meticulous service. Our classy cruiser is loaded with standard and optional features including an electronically fuel injected SOHC 4.5L V8, power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes, power windows, central locking, automatic transmission, air conditioning, cruise control, Europa stereo, tinted glass, right outside mirror, and the Dark Blue soft top. This sweetheart is sporting good glass, chrome, sheet metal, and carpet, while the upholstery is excellent. There are two small cracks in the dash (new dash cap included) and a few areas where the weather stripping needs attention. We will have chassis shots as soon as we repair our lift.
