There were powerful and exciting cars before the GTO, but these were mostly large and expensive cruisers that were simply out of reach for the average American. Pontiac became a trendsetter, however, when they stuffed their full-size engines into intermediate chassis for a favorable power-to-weight ratio. The GTO became a legend overnight and these cars have been the stuff dreams are made of ever since. The powerful Pontiac 400 ci engine has been enhanced with an Edelbrock carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer Pontiac aluminum intake manifold, and HEI. Additional niceties that were factory installed include power steering, power brakes, wide-ratio 4-speed manual transmission, custom seat belts, and Soft-Ray tinted glass. A Vintage Air air conditioning system was recently added, an absolute must-have for us older folks in the South. Good paint, trim, glass, upholstery, and carpet await your inspection.
