Trans Am

Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 18th year in the classic and muscle car business. This 1977 Trans Am is easy on the eyes thanks to its gorgeous Starlight Black paint, but this baby is set up for driving. Lurking under the hood is a numbers matching L78 400 bored .030 over and fitted with Speed Pro pistons, a reground crankshaft, resized rods, and a Comp Cams camshaft with roller rockers. The heads have been ported, polished, and milled for increased flow and a higher compression ratio, and the Edelbrock intake manifold has been port-matched to the heads. Ceramic coated headers, high-flow cats, and Flowmaster's American Thunder system handle the exhaust duties. The ample horsepower passes through a numbers-matching Borg-Warner Super T-10 4-speed manual transmission, then back to an Eaton Posi-equipped rear end. Underneath, the chassis also benefits from a long list of high quality components including Baer power 4-wheel disc brakes, heavy-duty front and rear sway bars, Hotchkis springs, new tie rods, new ball joints, and all new Energy Suspension poly graphite bushings and spring pads. Connecting all of these goodies to the pavement are a set of Nitto tires (275/40ZR17 f| 275/40ZR18 r) wrapped around beautiful billet wheels that recall the original Pontiac rally wheels.
