Under the hood, it retains its original 307 cubic inch V8 engine (suffix code WA), paired with the classic Rochester 2-barrel carburetor and a 3-speed manual transmission (“3 on the tree”). It runs with that smooth, unmistakable small-block Chevy character. Other original-style features include manual steering and drum brakes all around, giving it the pure, mechanical feel that modern trucks just can't replicate.
