The Express was the centerpiece of an "Adult Toys" marketing campaign, which included the Warlock and Street Van, that attempted to capitalize on the success of Hot Wheels toys. A Dodge advertisement asked "Remember when you used to play with trucks? You still can." This cool 1979 Li'l Red Express is an excellent example of Dodge's full-size toys. Lift the hood and you'll see the stout EH1 360 V8 that was based on Dodge's police interceptor engine with E58 heads and 850cfm carburetor. Additional features include power steering, power front disc brakes, air conditioning, A-727 LoadFlite automatic transmission, 9.25" rear end with 3.55 gears, wild dual exhaust with twin stacks sporting stainless steel heat shields, beautiful oak exterior trim and bed floor, AM/FM/Cassette stereo, and 275/60R15 B.F.G. Radial T/A's wrapped around correct chrome slotted "mags". As fun as it is to drive this rarity (only 5188 sold in '79), watching people's reactions to this beast is a hoot.
