1987 Chevy Monte Carlo SS with 5.0L High Output V8, O/D, P/S, P/W, P/B

When Chevrolet reintroduced the Monte Carlo SS in 1983 it came as somewhat of a shock to customers who had followed Chevy into the 'personal-luxury' segment. With its aggressive looks, High Output engine, and performance suspension the Monte Carlo SS enjoyed success in the showrooms as well as on the NASCAR tracks. This 1987 Monte Carlo SS is a nice example of the final generation of rear drive| carbureted, body-on-frame intermediates from General Motors. This Chevy is absolutely loaded with standard and optional features including a 5.0 liter High Output V8 (L69), power steering|, power front disc brakes, power windows (A31), power door locks (AU3), power trunk release (A90), automatic overdrive transmission (MXO), limited slip differential (G80) with 3.73 gears, sport suspension (F41), air conditioning (C60), electronic speed control (K34), Comfortilt steering wheel (N33), electric rear window defogger (C49), console (D55), twin remote sport mirrors (D68), tinted glass (A01), and Silver Metallic paint (12U). The car appears to have had one respray in its original Silver Metallic hue. The original stereo has been upgraded to an Alpine system and a set of B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's (255/60R15) lend a touch of menace. Clearly well maintained, the car now shows 90,681 miles, or an average of just over 3K miles per year.
