When Ford unveiled the Mustang in April of 1964, Americans poured into Ford dealerships at unpresedented rates to be a part of this cultural phenomenon. It wan't untill the fastback (2+2) arrived, however, that Ford had on its hands a timeless classic that was both critically acclaimed and coveted by the masses. Today, if a wealthy collector has a Mustang in his or her collection, it is most often a fastback. Our beautiful 1965 Mustang Fastback has been restored as a Shelby GT-350 tribute with tasteful upgrades such as Shelby stripes, a dash mounted Shelby tachometer, a hood scoop, and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure and water temperature. The well-detailed engine compartment houses one of Ford's venerable 289 V8's that's been fortified with a Ford aluminum intake manifold, a Holley carburetor, very nice stainless steel headers, an aluminum radiator, and the Cobra dress kit with aluminum valve covers and air cleaner. More features await inside including excellent upholstery, a 4-speed manual transmission, fold-down rear seat, a center console, and an AM/FM/MP3 radio. Finally, a set of American Racing wheels sporting B.F. Goodrich radial tires (225/45ZR17) lends this bronze beast a properly aggressive stance.
