We are offering a beautifully restored Triple Bennett Model 3506 Lubester, finished in the red and yellow Magnolia Gasoline colors.
This is a high-quality restoration of a classic service station oil dispenser. The vibrant red tank is accented by the striking Magnolia Gasoline logo, but the true highlight for collectors is the set of three original Magnolene lids sitting beneath the pumps.
Inroduced by the Bennett Pump Company in the 1930s and 40s, these "lubesters" were a staple at full-service stations before pre-packaged oil cans took over. Service attendants would hand-crank bulk oil from these tanks directly into glass quart jars to service a customer's engine. This unit features three high-profile pumps sitting on an original-style rolling cart with spoked wheels for easy mobility. Owning this piece is owning a slice of Texas history. The Magnolia Petroleum Company was founded in 1911 as a consolidation of several smaller Texas oil companies. Based in Dallas, it became a regional giant known for its "Magnolene" products. In 1925, it was acquired by the Standard Oil Company of New York (Socony), and later merged into the Mobil brand in 1959. For decades, the Magnolia name and its eventual "Red Pegasus" logo were symbols of the booming American oil industry.
