This is an authentic vintage Gulf gas station sign at our Shreveport, LA location. Manufactured by the Kolux Division of Kokomo, Indiana, this sign is a genuine piece of American road and advertising history from the 1970s/1980s.
Unlike modern reproductions, this sign is constructed from the original durable polycarbonate acrylic and features the iconic orange, white, and deep blue "Gulf" roundel. It is a single-sided, electric sign, originally designed to be illuminated. Its provenance is confirmed by the original Underwriters Laboratories (UL) label and Kolux manufacturer's plate. The sign face is in remarkably excellent condition, displaying vibrant color and high gloss, making it a spectacular display piece even unlit. The sign can light up once rewired by a qualified professional for safe and reliable operation. Measures 27.5” wide by 26” tall by 5” deep.
