Old school is COOL! Not knowing better, you would think you were cruising down the local boulevard in the late fifties or early sixties, when this Street Rod rolls past you. It is very well built and represents the simpler times in American Hot Roding. It looks steel with the flat blue Hot Rod paint and finished body but it is glass. Hard to tell with the exposed door hinges, door/trunk handles, unsmoothed fire wall, and overall retro look. The body looks stock with the fenders and hood removed. The retro King Bee headlamps were popular back in the day. It rides on a stock 32 frame featuring a 4 inch drop front axel, hydraulic 4 wheel drum, "juice" brakes, "spring-behind" rear suspension, Ford rear end, steel wheels, and radial tires. It rides and drives very well! The interior is very tastefully done in fifties two tone tuck & roll theme. The dash is loaded with Stewart Warner Wing gauges and a Mooneyes tachometer sits behind the custom Banjo steering wheel. The 3 speed transmission has a retro floor mounted shifter. After converting to a 12 volt system, a hidden AM/FM stereo with speakers mounted in the kick panels and behind the seat were added. The full bench folds forward revealing a small storage bag for small items. The full carpeting and headliner, along with tinted windows, helps keep the inside cooler. Power comes from an awesome running "Flathead" Ford V-8 complete with Offenhauser heads and intake. The dual Stromberg carburetors, chrome headers, chrome Hildebrandt "Bee-Hive" remote oil filter, and chrome alternator, posing as a generator, complete the retro engine mods. I told you it was old school. It runs great and sounds good too! This car attracts allot of attention where ever it goes. It used to belong to a dear friend and customer of ours. He drove it all over the Texas Hill Country and loved every moment of it. You can have just as much fun so make it yours today. Financing, insurance, and delivery are easy to do.
